- We want this page to operate as a good-faith space to foster solidarity and community amongst marginalised people in academia. Please bear that in mind - this is not a gossip or snark page for people to air general grievances.
- Your Submission should not contain the names or identifying features of any individuals or imply association with any individuals by mentioning specific academic publications / roles within an institution. You may name your institution / affiliation if you would like to. Posts that could lead to doxxing will be removed. Removed posts cannot be appealed.
- This is not a platform for reporting illegal activity and Inside Academia will remove posts that engage in whistleblowing or detail illegal activity. If you would like to report a serious allegation at your institution please see our advice in the Support section of our FAQs so that this can be reported via formal, legal channels.
- You understand that by submitting a post, you are consenting to the admins being able to remove it from public view at their discretion.
- If you have made a submission but subsequently wish to withdraw it, please contact us via the email address on our FAQs page.
- Stories posted must be your own. You cannot post on behalf of someone else or share a story you heard about someone else. You also should not use any artificial intelligence, machine learning, deep learning algorithms, or similar technology to create, prepare, edit or refine your submission.
- Previous posts on sites like this have been reported on in the press, been subject to social media scrutiny, and used in books and other publications. In posting, you acknowledge that this could happen to your submission.
